International Collaboration: US and Singapore |

Project Overview:
A group of 9 to 12-year old students from Yu Neng Primary School and Navajo Elementary School took part in this collaboration project in middle of 2009, which the students role-played as foreign correspondents for each other's news production using the NewsMaker software.
The aim of this project is to create an interesting and sustaining platform for students to improve their language arts skills and at the same time, promote cross cultural exchanges among students from different countries. A total of four news production were produced from this pilot trial. The students from Navajo Elementary School showcased the Arizona state, city of Scottsdale as well as their school to the Singapore students.
Project Continuation:
Students from Ingleside Middle School and Yu Neng Primary School will be promoting their country's unique games to one another, for example like the Hackey Sacks from US and the Shuttlecock-Kicking and Speak Takraw from Singapore. A mini "Olympic"-style competition will be set up where the students will have fun playing and competiting on each other's games! Navajo Elementary School's students will be the news crew for Ingleside Middle School.
