International Collaboration: Malaysia and Singapore |
|
Project Overview: Following the success of the ASEAN NewsMaker Project in Malaysia, the students from the participating school, SK Putrajaya Presint 8-1, collaborated with the students from Tampines North Primary School, which similarly took part in the ASEAN NewsMaker Project in Singapore.
In this project, the students from the 2 schools created their own news production, with their own news anchor who introduced their site reporters as well as their foreign correspondents. In one of the news production by the Singapore students, their Malaysian counterparst contributed videos that showcased their school and their pupils.
Again, like the collaboration project between the US school and the Singapore school, the aim of this collaboration is to create an interesting and sustaining platform for students to improve their language arts skills and at the same time, promote cross cultural exchanges among students from different countries.
