About the Competition
| 1. |
This competition is for students and teachers to produce a 3-minute documentary video showing how a science concept learnt in school has been applied in daily life. |
| 2. |
This competition is open to all the primary and secondary schools in Singapore and there are two categories in the competition: Primary School Category and Secondary School Category. |
| 3. |
Each school is allowed to send more than one team for the competition. Each team comprises of 1 teacher and 2 students. The same teacher can be registered for more than one team. |

Rules and Regulations
| 1. |
Each participating team can submit only one entry for the competition. |
| 2. |
All videos submitted as competition entries must be recorded in English. |
| 3. |
Subtitles (a feature in NewsMaker) must be turned on for the submitted videos. |
| 4. |
A common opening and closing video trailers that will be provided to all participants must be used in the submitted videos. |
| 5. |
Videos must be created using the NewsMaker software. For non-NewsMaker users, a trial copy of the software will be provided and software trainings will be provided at the Science Centre Singapore. |
| 6. |
Submitted videos must adhere to the following requirement:
a. The length of the video, excluding the opening/closing trailers, must be between 2 to 3 minutes.
b. At least one third of the length of the video must have narration provided by the participants.
c. Good use of multimedia materials, like videos, pictures and diagrams are strongly encouraged.
d. The audio quality of the video must be very clear and is loud enough.
e. Video must be produced at 640x480 resolution and in WMV or MOV format.

Prizes
| 1 |
The participants from the top 3 teams from the Primary School Category and the Secondary School Category will each receive a Creative Vado, a lightweight portable pocket video recorder worth S$149 each. Also, each team will also get a trophy. |
| 2. |
A Grand Winner will be chosen from the 3 top teams from each category and the participants of the Grand Winner teams will get an Apple iPad (for the teacher) and the students will each get a ACER Netbook.

| 3. |
All participants and participating schools will get a certificate of participation signed by the Media Development Authority of Singapore (MDA), EyePower Games Private Limited, and Science Centre Singapore. |
Notes
| 1. |
Participants will be responsible to arrange for their own transportation to and from the venue of competition. |
| 2. |
The organizers reserve the rights to amend the rules and regulations of the competition and will keep participants duly informed of such changes if any. |
| 3. |
The judges verdict of the winning entries of the competition is final. The organizers and the judges will not entertain any request or inquiry pertaining to the judging of the competition entries. |
