Webcam does not seem to be working |

For Windows users
Symptom:
You do not see the webcam view during the Recording stage in NewsMaker as shown in Figure 1.

Troubleshoot and possible rectifications:

Make sure that the webcam is securely connected to the PC.

Make sure that there is no other application using the same webcam.
|
| |
- |
Click on the “Audio/Video” button below the webcam view. On the Device Settings page that appears, select the appropriate video device. Then click OK to see if the webcam view shows up. See Figure 2. Depending on the video device installed on your computer, the video device’s name will look different from the one shown here.

Quit NewsMaker. Plug out the webcam and plug in again. Wait for about 3 seconds before launching NewsMaker again to see if the webcam view shows up.

Quit NewsMaker. Plug out the webcam and plug into a different USB port. Wait for about 3 seconds before launching NewsMaker again to see if the webcam view shows up.

Try another webcam.

For Mac Users
